After what felt like such a slow end to the year, dealing with health issues, and lack of inspiration for my reborning, 2012 is already shaping up to be one of plans and inspiration. I have recently finished off the Suze sculpt by Adrie Stoete and I must say he turned out quite lovely. He is definitely a keeper. I am currently working on Bella and Bonnie by Maribel Villanova. Bella is a fair skinned little boy with blue eyes, who is currently awaiting hair and Bonnie will be an ethnic skinned little boy, I haven't decided on straight or curly hair for him though. I can honestly say its been wonderful and relaxing being able to let my creative juices flow again.
I have also been on the hunt for a basinett for awhile now as a place to display my babies in my collection but also for photo props for my sales. I came across a beautiful cane one in the second hand shop the other day and unfortunately didn't have room to fit it in the car just then due to having all the kids with my husband and I. A couple of days later my husband went back to the store and it was sold. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. Alas I kept looking and found a lady selling a near new basinett on facebook. She also happened to live not far from my husbands work so he was able to pick it up for me that day! I am so happy but on the hunt for a perfect cover for it now. It came with a lovely green and blue one but I am after something more gender neutral, creams and brown/tan.
On another very exciting note, I am honored to be a part of a new website set up by Bonnie Brown, solely for selling quality reborns to prospective customers. To have my work displayed with what I consider some of the best ladies in Australia is such an honour! If you would like to check it out the link is:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012!
Happy New Year everyone! Wow, I felt like I blinked and 2011 was over. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Yrs. My Christmas was spent with my family, nothing better than seeing the joy and excitement on my children's faces on Christmas morning. Feeling very old, I spent the New Years watching Lord of the Rings while doing a bit of rooting. No big New Years resolutions, other than to push myself more this year, have more confidence in myself and get out of my comfort zone. Those who know me know this is going to be a challenge ;) But one I am going to be up for! Whatever resolutions or non resolutions everyone has made, I hope 2012 will be a safe, happy and prosperous year for us all :)
On a reborning front, I last wrote that I was feeling a bit of a reborning slump. Well I can happily say it was short lived. I finished up a tabatha kit for my daughter. I must say I wasn't overly keen on the sculpt, I received the baby as part of a swap a couple of years ago and she wasn't one I fell in love with so gave her to J (my daughter). Anyways, she was sitting in J's cupboard and while going through it the other day she pulled her out and asked me to redo her. She was a bit of a job to completely strip back and take the hair out but she turned out adorable and was my last baby for 2011.
J has renamed her Marley :)
